The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-
William J. Fitzpatrick, trainer of Lady Crossing (declared in error) - €200.M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer of Sandi O Mali (ran yesterday) - €200.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Elizabeth Gale, rider of Sporting Hero (GB), presented to weigh out 2lbs overweight, which had not been previously declared. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that she did not believe that she would need to avail of the available 2lbs overweight and therefore did not declare it. Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, stated that he was happy to allow the overweight to be carried. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed Elizabeth Gale to ride Sporting Hero (GB) on this occasion, however they were satisfied that she was in breach of Rule 198(vii)(a) and having considered her clean record in this regard they fined Elizabeth Gale €150. Furthermore the Raceday Stewards reminded Elizabeth Gale to familiarise herself with the rules and procedures in future.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sporting Hero (GB), placed first, as compared with his most recent run. Denis Gerard Hogan stated that his charge benefited from a low draw today, which may have brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the report given.
035B Floodlit Fridays Dundalk Claiming RaceS. Coen, rider of Una Matata, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the starting stalls and was slowly away.
J.S. Dalton, rider of Tortola, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Una Matata, trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
035D Dundalk Winter Series Leading H'capR.P. Cleary, rider of Southgreen, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very keen early on.
J.S. Dalton, rider of Manhattan Dandy, trained by Thomas Coyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount caught a heel turning in. Having viewed the recording of the race, The Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from W.J. Martin, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Jazzy Dancer, placed first, as compared with its recent form. W.J. Martin stated that his charge got his way today and enjoyed himself in front, which may have brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the report given.
035E BAR 1 Betting & Casino Rated RaceThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from Jack Foley, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Incredible Army, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Jack Foley stated that the first time application of blinkers and the small field today may have brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the report given.
035F Happy Valentine's Weekend M'dnThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined El Galvino (GB), trained by Andrew Lee, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Stay In The Game, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was never comfortable up the straight.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stay In The Game, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
R.C. Colgan, rider of El Galvino (GB), trained by Andrew Lee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right up the straight.
B.M. Coen, rider of Ebony King, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got caught on heels turning into the home straight. Having viewed the recording of the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
